The Sharon Academy Fund

The Sharon Academy Fund provides operational support that allows us to use current gifts to support almost every area of the Academy's operation. More importantly, these funds offer the Academy the greatest flexibility to address immediate needs and opportunities.

The 2007-2008 TSA Fund will:

• Keep tuition affordable
• Allow us to preserve our small, seminar-style classes
• Recruit and retain top faculty
• Support student scholarships for families in need

Endowment

The Sharon Academy endowment provides a permanent source of income for the Academy. Gifts to the endowment are invested, with a percentage of the income supporting either student scholarships or faculty salaries. These funds are held in perpetuity, making it possible to invest in the Academy and the future of its students.

Planned Giving

“Planned Giving” refers to charitable gifts that require some planning before they are made. They are popular because they can provide valuable tax benefits and/or income for life.

Potential Benefits of planned gifts:

• Increase current income for the donor
• Reduce the donor's income tax
• Avoid capital gains tax
• Make a significant donation to charity

Due to the unique nature of each estate and a donor's individual needs, we strongly recommend that our supporters seek the advice of a professional financial advisor.
