At the end of two years of foreign language, students will have had a taste of both French and Spanish, allowing them to be able to make an informed decision on what language they would like to take in high school. They will also have a better understanding of their own learning styles in foreign language, how language works, the parts of speech, and other commonalities found in a variety of languages (including English).

• Spanish language and culture exploratory, through the book Buen Viaje. In this course, the students will learn Spanish through planning a study abroad in a Spanish-speaking country, including: geography and culture in a number of other countries, communication with people in another country, describing one's own culture, filling out personal data on forms such as passport applications, getting around town in a foreign city (following directions, etc.) and other material.

• French language and culture exploratory, through the book Bon Voyage. In this course, the students will learn French through planning a study abroad in a French-speaking country, including: geography and culture in a number of other countries, communication with people in another country, describing one's own culture, filling out personal data on forms such as passport applications, getting around town in a foreign city (following directions, etc.) and other material.
