On February 1, an open competition available to local and area high school students will be held in Moore Hall at the Sharon Academy beginning at 7:00 PM. Each participant will memorize and recite two poems. Each contestant will be critiqued by writer and managing editor of Libretto, Sarah Jensen, with the finalist chosen to represent TSA at the state competition on March 6 in Montpelier. The February 1 poetry reading event is open to the public, and is a good chance for area residents to hear up to 38 poems. Light refreshments will be provided. Directions are available by calling 763-2500.
