Gov Scott Visits TSA

On Thursday, December 14th, Vermont’s Governor, Phil Scott, gave a presentation to students at The Sharon Academy Middle and High School. The Governor‘s presentation was planned as part of the “Beliefs” curriculum in 9th and 10th grade Humanities. In this year-long unit, students are asked to examine world events through the lens of their own core belief systems. Throughout the unit, a series of speakers have addressed TSA’s 9th and 10th graders presenting on how their own beliefs have shaped their lives and their actions. The Governor’s presentation focused on the importance of “Civility” and of listening to multiple points of view.  He then invited students to ask him questions. TSA students asked questions that ranged from how he might help invigorate Vermont to his views on Net Neutrality.
