Lingelbach Woods Dedicated
Wednesday, October 16, was a beautiful fall day for The Sharon Academy to dedicate the “back 80” acres of woods behind the high school to former TSA board member and friend of the school, Jenepher Lingelbach.
Jenepher was an educator, environmentalist and poet. She founded the VINS Environmental Learning for the Future (ELF) program and published two books of poetry. She was remembered by friends from her neighborhood of East Barnard, colleagues from VINS, and by TSA community members.
Jenepher would have wanted you to get out and experience The Lingelbach Woods. Jackson Bradford ’20 and Ben Weatherill ’21 spoke about creating the trails in the high school trails elective. The trails are open to the public and a trail map is located in the kiosk just opposite the plaque (pictured on the right) at the trail head at the end of the high school parking lot.
