Turquoise Day-Spring Fling 2023
The 2022-23 school year has had the important task of rebuilding its sense of community since the pandemic emergency was lifted. Gradually, students are feeling a greater sense of connection with each other and with the school, especially through “Turquoise Days”, the half-days that mark the end of each learning module.
At the end of Module 7, on Monday, May 15, the high school enjoyed the beautiful weather and kicked off Community Week with Spring Fling. The day included classic field games, a pie-eating contest, the spoon game, capture-the-flag, and the TSA Filmmaking Academy Awards.
There were fun activities throughout Community Week, such as Twin Day, culminating in the high school’s first all-school trip since 2019. While the transportation industry has been decimated by the pandemic, we were able to arrange a bus to Six Flags New England on Friday, May 19. It was a truly magical day, with a palpable sense that TSA was going to recover from the years of pandemic isolation.
Thanks to Mascoma Bank Foundation for their support in this year’s Turquoise Days.
