TSA Welcomes New Bookkeeper

Melissa Shekinah, The Sharon Academy’s Director of Finance, has left to travel the country on her motorcycle and to work on Goddard’s MFA Creative Writing degree. As the Director of Finance, Melissa worked tirelessly to create systems and procedures that supported TSA’s financial health, and we are so very grateful. “Leaving TSA was not an easy choice. It has been one of the best investments for my children and sanity. Kyle spent six years of his educational journey there, Meadow five, and I’ll be ending my employment after seven and a half. The memories and connections that have emerged from this unexpected haven are ones I’ll carry with me for a lifetime.”

We now welcome Anne Mallary to TSA as a part-time bookkeeper. Anne grew up on a dairy farm in Fairlee, VT, that raised registered Holsteins, but Anne was more interested in horses. With a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from UVM, Anne became a Herd Manager for ten years. She then earned her stripes in bookkeeping and tax preparation and became Treasurer for the Town of Tunbridge. At Vermont Farmstead Cheese Co, Anne was office manager and bookkeeper. Anne is also the parent of Lucy Howe, TSA ’09 and James Howe, TSA’07. At TSA you’ll find Anne at the High School most Fridays, as well as other days as needed.
