How The Sharon Academy Uses Information
The Sharon Academy is committed to upholding the trust of parents, faculty, staff, alumni and visitors placed in us by the sharing of information regarding themselves or their children. Our privacy and security policies are reviewed regularly to ensure both your privacy and to provide the best possible experience for our community. Personal Data
The Sharon Academy will not collect personally identifiable information about you — such as your name, address, telephone number, social security number, email address, child’s name, child’s gender, child’s age — unless you voluntarily provide it by filling out one of the forms on our website. If/when you do provide personal information through one of our online forms, it will be used to fulfill a request you have made or contact you to provide you with more targeted content pertaining to our school. You will always have the option to “opt-out” of future communication. We do not share your personal information outside of our school, and only authorized individuals will be able to access your data. The school also maintains a formal policy on Personal Information Protection that would apply in the unlikely event of a security breach. If you would like a copy, then please let us know.

In addition to maintaining our Personal Information Protection Policy and Procedures, The Sharon Academy follows industry best practices regarding the protection and security of our systems and services. Contracts with third parties for software services are reviewed for compliance with best practices as well as to ensure only the minimum amount of data needed is used within those systems. We expect our vendors to respect your privacy and treat your information accordingly. Please note: Data transmission over the internet is inherently insecure, and we cannot guarantee the security of data sent over the internet.
