Pat Woodin Scholarship Fund

Pat Woodin with arms raised“Pat embodied the spirit of The Sharon Academy with her warm and open heart. Pat believed that families should be able to choose the school that is the best fit for their student, regardless of socio-economic status or whether they live in a school choice town. We are honored to dedicate our first scholarship program in her memory.”

About the Fund

The Pat Woodin Scholarship Fund is named for a beloved member of The Sharon Academy (TSA) community who passed away in 2013. Pat Woodin was the school’s first Information Technology Director and a parent of three TSA alumni, Maegan, Bekah, and Tim. Pat and her husband, Joe, were active in their support of the school. Pat left a positive and memorable mark on The Sharon Academy and its students.

The goal of the Pat Woodin Scholarship Fund is to make TSA’s engaging learning community available to students who are seeking a school which supports them in reaching their immense potential. Successful scholarship applicants will demonstrate strong academic curiosity, respect for self and others, diverse interests and talents, and a willingness to work hard as active members of the TSA community.

The scholarship will support students entering 7th or 8th grade whose families demonstrate a need for financial aid. Each scholarship can cover up to $10,000 of tuition expenses. Up to six scholarships will be awarded annually.

“Our mother loved teaching and really connected with TSA’s open and accepting culture. She would have been honored to have this scholarship named for her.”
