At The Sharon Academy, Exhibitions and Capstones are more than graduation requirements, they are a defining part of The Sharon Academy’s distinctive high school experience. These culminating projects challenge our juniors and seniors to research deeply, write persuasively, and present confidently before faculty, peers, and community members.
Our students explore the questions that matter most to them, combining intellectual curiosity, creativity, and communication skills that prepare them for college, careers, and engaged citizenship
The Exhibition is a year-long research and presentation project that demonstrates a student’s mastery of critical academic skills. Each student develops a thesis, conducts independent research, and produces an 8–12-page written paper along with a 20–25-minute oral presentation.
Exhibitions at TSA cultivate:
Students present before an audience of faculty, classmates, and community members—an authentic assessment that reflects both intellectual rigor and real-world poise.
The Capstone Project offers seniors the flexibility to design a personalized, creative, or interdisciplinary exploration that still demonstrates mastery of TSA’s academic standards.
Students work with faculty mentors to define goals, manage timelines, and showcase their learning through unique formats such as visual art, podcasts, film, design, or community projects.

Throughout their high school years, TSA students learn to research, write, and present across disciplines. By the time they reach junior and senior year, they have built the foundation to take on these challenging independent projects. During Exhibition and Capstone Presentations Days, the TSA community gathers to celebrate each student’s achievement.
Projects are evaluated on research quality, writing clarity, presentation delivery, and reflection—showcasing academic depth, creativity, and professionalism.
The Exhibition and Capstone experience represents the culmination of a TSA education—where curiosity meets purpose and students discover the power of their own voice.
