Apply to TSA

A supportive school community where students are known, valued, and challenged.

At TSA, enrollment is simple: no application, no admissions test. Students are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until a class reaches capacity. When a cohort is full, additional enrollees are placed on a waitlist.

We seek students ready to work hard, engage in learning, and contribute to a safe and inclusive environment. Our enrollment process is designed to ensure that TSA is the right fit—and to help us prepare to support your student from day one.

Is TSA Right for Your Student?

We welcome students who:

  • Are curious and eager to learn
  • Value meaningful relationships with teachers and peers
  • Thrive in small classes with big opportunities
  • Want to grow as thinkers, creators, and community members

We encourage all prospective students to schedule a visit day, shadow a current student, and experience TSA’s dynamic culture firsthand.

Need help with tuition?

TSA is tuition-free for students from Vermont sending towns. Need-based scholarships are available for grades 7–12.

Enrollment Steps

1

Schedule a Visit Day

Meet with our staff, tour the school, and shadow classes with a student host. Visits can be in-person or virtual.

Contact us: (802) 763-2500 x220 or [email protected] or fill out our form.

2

Visit TSA

Middle School visitors meet with Andrew Lane, Director of the Middle School. High School visitors meet with Mary Newman, Head of School. Students attend a full day of classes with a host student.
3

Submit Enrollment Form

After your visit, complete the enrollment form. Enrollment is first-come, first-served until each grade is full.
4

Complete the Learner Profile

This form helps TSA understand your student’s learning style, interests, and support needs.
5

Attend a Learner Profile Conference

A virtual meeting with TSA leadership and your family to discuss class placement, goals, and how to support your student’s success.
Middle School conferences should be completed by June 3. High School conferences should be completed by April 15.

Special Education & Accessibility

TSA is approved to receive students on any special education plan (IEPs, 504 Plans, Educational Support Plans) and provides accommodations in accordance with state and federal law. To ensure appropriate support, please notify us of any plans when submitting your enrollment form so we can coordinate with your family and sending district.
