At The Sharon Academy, small class sizes support diverse learning styles. Our curriculum fosters responsibility, independent thinking, teamwork, and presentation skills. We encourage creativity and exploration so every student feels safe, valued, and able to thrive academically.
Intergrated Curriculums
Middle school offers a two-year interdisciplinary cycle in Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, and Art. High school expands to Humanities, Math, Science, World Languages, electives, and exhibitions, supporting teamwork, resilience, and engagement through flexible, creative learning opportunities.
Flexible Pathways
Flexible Pathways is an educational initiative in Vermont that gives students graduation credit for personalized, hands-on education opportunities.
Students can take college or online courses, travel abroad, build technical education skills, and complete internships to explore areas of interest and career options.
Interim
Interim gives students a chance to showcase their creativity and build a sense of community outside the traditional classroom.
High schoolers produce a full-scale musical, while middle schoolers create a circus show—both developing leadership, creativity, and strong relationships through teamwork, performance, and joyful collaboration across grade levels.
During the high school interim, students can act, design sets and costumes, learn choreography and stage technology, and grow their creativity, leadership, and teamwork skills.
Middle school students learn juggling, unicycling, and other performance skills from professionals. Along the way, they build confidence, learn to work together, and make lasting friendships.
Flexible Pathways
Special programs at The Sharon Academy—Circus and Musical Interims, Science Fair, Outdoor Leadership, Capstones, and Flexible Learning Pathways—foster creativity, leadership, research, performance, and personalized learning, preparing students for college, careers, and engaged citizenship through hands-on, collaborative experiences.
