Ski & Snowboard Program

At The Sharon Academy, skiing and snowboarding are more than sports—they’re a celebration of Vermont life. Through our Ski and Snowboard Program, students experience the joy of outdoor adventure, the beauty of local landscapes, and the camaraderie of belonging in a community that embraces the season together.

Ski & Board Program Details

Saskadena Six Ski Area

The ski and board program runs weekly early January and through mid-February. On ski days, school ends early at 12:30 and we hit the slopes until about 4:00pm. Specific dates and transportation details will be announced in December.

We are proud to partner with Saskadena Six, with 24 ski trails and 100 skiable acres in South Pomfret.

Saskadena Six is a beginner-friendly mountain and a great place to learn. It also offers enough challenge that even our advanced skiers and snowboarders enjoy the afternoon with their friends.

Lift Tickets

We encourage families to purchase the Book-It Season Pass for students: $129, plus tax, payable to Saskadena Six. To show proof of school, a screenshot of your Blackbaud page is sufficient evidence.
Please call the Ticket Office with questions at 802-457-6661 or visit the website for details.

Lessons

Lessons can be organized through Saskadena Six by reaching out to the Ski and Ride School Program 802-457-6663. Group lessons are for at least 3 participants of the same age/level. The price is $180 for six lessons. Individual lessons are available at the private rate as well, $139 for one hour (payable to Saskadena Six).

Equipment Rentals

  • Saskadena Six offers an on-mountain school rate of $30 per session, pre-paid, to include ski/snowboard, boots, and a complimentary helmet. One advantage is that students do not have to transport any equipment to the mountain. Students will be required to come in for a fitting appointment, and we will be scheduling those beginning in December. Learn more or reach out to [email protected] or Jim Davenport at [email protected] for 2023-2024 S6 rental information.
  • Henderson’s in Quechee is offering a reasonable Junior lease of used one-year-old skis for $129/ new skis for $189.
  • First Stop Board and Barn in Killington has a special deal for TSA students. $199 will provide basic equipment (no helmet) for the season. Higher quality equipment is available at a premium price. Make an appointment with Max Elles to get fitted.
  • Seasonal rentals are also usually available at Golf & Ski Warehouse in West Lebanon, NH, and Omer & Bob’s in Lebanon, NH.

Transportation

School buses will be available to transport students from TSA to Saskadena Six each Wednesday at 12:30pm from the Middle and High Schools. A Tri-Valley Transit bus will be available to return them to TSA High School by 5pm.

Riders should complete this form.

Ski and Board Scholarships
