Celebrating 30 Years of Interim

In honor of The Sharon Academy’s 30th anniversary, students created an original artwork celebrating 30 years of Theater Interim, one of TSA’s signature experiences.

The piece honors three decades of creativity, collaboration, and community, and a tradition that has brought generations of TSA students together both onstage and behind the scenes.

A Musical Comedy with a Killer Twist

It’s 1959, and Boston’s Colonial Theatre is celebrating the opening night of a new musical. But when the show’s leading lady mysteriously dies onstage, the entire cast and crew become suspects. Enter a local detective who also happens to be a devoted musical-theatre fan.

With a Golden Age-style score, memorable characters, and a clever backstage mystery, Curtains combines classic Broadway comedy with a whodunit that will keep audiences laughing and guessing until the final curtain.

More Than a Musical

Each fall, regular high school classes pause for two weeks while the entire TSA High School community works together to produce a full-scale musical.

Students perform, choreograph, lead the band, construct the set, create costumes, manage props, operate lighting and sound, prepare food, promote the production, sell playbill advertisements, and solve the countless problems that arise along the way. Adults provide guidance, but students take genuine responsibility for bringing the production to the stage.

Interim is an immersive experience in creativity, collaboration, leadership, and perseverance. Students take risks, discover new strengths, and experience what is possible when an entire school community commits to creating something together.
